Dont forget a extra set of spark plugs for the main and kicker.... Mine is a 3 cyl main and a 2 cyl kicker.... I keep extras plugs and mark boxes as to what they go to..... I am switching things up on my boat a bit.... when i bought it had a rear side console and the fuel tank is under a wide section right behind steering console... I am wanting to remove that rear section and fuel tank. I am moving the fuel tank forward under front platform and making the rear walkthr...

Pulled the Impeller today... Not a bad project at all... didnt do a replacement, just sharpened and re-shimmed.... very easy job and done and put back together in under 2 hours..... i just decided it was time to just do it without instruction and low and behold, a lot easier than i thought it would ...

even in blown out "Chocolate milk " water, you can still catch fish... plunking a large bait or sitting on anchor with plugs will hook fish. i do not think your snagging if your rod is in a rod holder...... Fish closer to shore and as fish move into the slots, they will run into your bait.....

I am putting a new impeller in my jet unit. I am pretty good with a wrench but dont have a clue on replacing the impeller and shims... anyone have any knowledge or info they can give me.... Its on a 1982 Johnson 70 hp.....

I like a plunking set up myself but on a river where no bait or scent , it is tough..... Just remember... when water is high and dirty, fish close to shore as there is less silt at the waters edge..... a big fat plug worked down a deeper seem right next to shore will get them....

So my buddy and I went out this morning, dropped the crab pots and ran to Point no Point.... Fishing was SLOW.... 1 hit from 6am to 11am, none to the boat..... depends on the sled I guess..... My Mod V Jon boat/sled will run 4" with 2 people on plane but drafts about 9-10" back trolling..... The river is low, and if you know what your doing, you can do it, but if you draft more than say 9-10" you may run into some trouble up above the Wallace

Not really wanting to sell it.... in fact as my GF and I discuss it more, we may just keep it and place it in the dining room...
