New outboard purchase in Canada
Just wondering if anyone has taken advantage of the exchange rate and purchased equipment out of Canada. I'm looking at a new Yamaha 9.9 but I don't know how the fees at the border work and if they would offset the savings.
I'd appreciate any information you might have. Thank you.

Re: Coho / Chinook how you fish for it
Hey fishin magician, not to beat a dead salmon here, but can describe the bend you put on the back of the sling blade dodger? I like the idea of a lighter setup. Makes playing the fish a whole lot more fun.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Fishing / Crabbing near Belfair State Part
The family and I will be camping at Belfair state park in a couple weeks and I'd like to take the little kayak out and drop a crab pot and fish from shore for cutthroat. But, I seem to recall that the park is on a long, sand/mud beach. Can anyone recommend somewhere near the park with better fishing...

F/S (2) Okuma downrigger rods - *REVISED*
* The lack of response tells me perhaps I'm asking too much or maybe these aren't very popular rods. That said, maybe someone would be interested in a trade. My son and I are noobs at the salt water downrigger fishing. If someone would be willing to take us out for a day for a little education, I'd ...

Re: Boat Launches, Area 11 / 10
Thank you, gentlemen. All good ideas. I should have mentioned the boat is a 17' fiberglass runabout. I believe I'll go back to Redondo this weekend without it and study the ramp and shore a bit....see if I can pull that off. And damn skippy on the video games! Or anything electronic. My goal is that...

Boat Launches, Area 11 / 10
I woke my reluctant 15 year old son up early this morning to fish for salmon at the north end of Area 11. This was going to be our first attempt at this trip. Got the gear ready, boat hooked up and headed out to Redondo. But apparently I'm not a real strong reader and missed the Redondo website noti...

GPS app
Does anyone have a GPS app they can recommend for crab pots? Apple has quite a few to choose from but I'd rather not figure out through trial and error which one is best.
I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.
