Re: 12V portable bilge recommendations..?
I have a diaphragm pump from an rv water system I use in my little boat. Just need to get the suction hose down there and it self primes. Alligator clips on the wire ends. These little cheap pumps are close to fitting: https://photos.app.goo.gl/sfzX9t5CUwbxe0mR2 But dont think it will make it: https...

Re: Lake Roosevelt Kokes
Kokanee reports have been dismal lately (that I have read). One theory is that they collectively decided to become sockeye and head out to sea, over the dam I guess. There has been a decline in Kokanee though, in other parts of the state too. Hopefully they come back strong... I was too slow in gett...

Re: Clear Lake Kokanee?
Yup, not all lakes are the same. A Few degrees of climate change could certainly affect our smaller western lakes ecosystems differently than an ecosystem that has evolved in a warmer or colder climate. Also rather than climate change it is more likely imo recent weather patterns that have led up to...

Re: Lost Tennessean
Im not an extremely experienced saltwater fisherman myself, but I would imagine the original poster would like to be able to cast around the area he's moored. Are there any bottom fish legal to target in sound? All of the rockfish species must be released, and descended with a proper device. Not sur...

Re: Clear Lake Kokanee?
**Joining a discussion on Kokanee decline and blaming the fisherman for overfishing, telling people to get a life and do something better with there time, pointing the finger of blame at the fishing reports (on a fishing report site), then slamming Mike on his own website would be considered "trolli...

Re: Clear Lake Kokanee?
My newest Kokanee replacement program has been learning to target Black Crappie in several local lakes (Ive been lazy about reports lately and one small lake Ive decided to keep to myself, because it is likely a fragile fishery and i'm like that) Lake Washington is next in the learning curve. Ive be...

Re: Clear Lake Kokanee?
2015 was also the super hot summer, and equally hot water temps. There were massive algae blooms in my local Kokanee lakes, one nearby private lake even went dry. The last kokanee I caught in Meridian (oddly large fish) was April 8 2016. Thick blobs of algae still floating around the lake from the p...

Re: Downrigger ball Weight?
Certainly 12 lb.ers are better than you 7-8 lb ball, but I wouldn’t cancel fishing just because of the ball weight. Depending on how your sonar is set up, at least with mine, I can see the ball, and regardless of how much blow back I have, I can still know where the ball is located. But I wouldnt f...

Lake Tapps on a weekday morning..... Good smallmouth fishing, but take that with a grain of salt, It is the only lake on your list that I've targeted smallmouth.

Re: fresh water fish for sale in washington lakes
ha ha... Hey amx, on another note, a buddy and I went out night fishing on sawyer last night and sight fished spawning black crappie! Crappie are everywhere in the shallows! Non stop catching. Caught a couple 12-14 inches too! Ive never seen anything bigger than a 6 inch crappie out there before.

Re: fresh water fish for sale in washington lakes
I love fresh water fish like sea bass! Nice. No offense to Jake, your reply is perfectly said, maybe even necessary, but this type of post cant be real, right? Im confused as to what the purpose of spoof posts like this are. What could the motive possibly be? Ive seen several of these similar 1rst p...

Re: Eagle Claw Featherlight Kokanee/Casting rods are here!
Crazy!.... looking at my previous posts, that was only a year ago I bought my two 7'6" and 8' kokanee eagle claws. They have since then become my go-to rods for most of the trolling I do. Downriggers or long lining. I usually hand my much more expensive and noodlier kokanee/ trout trolling rods off ...

Re: No triploids? & very few "jumbo's"?
Thanks Juniah87 for your insight into the topic, I'm very interested in how these things go down. I did not get a name from the Mill Creek email response. Whoever it was, spent a fair amount of time responding to me, and I appreciate the effort. Over the years, Ive sent maybe a dozen emails to wdfw,...

Re: No triploids? & very few "jumbo's"?
How does all that sit with you?
"cost of living increase?"
...who's?
"Due to lack of support from hunters and anglers"
...??
"tremendous value"
...my contributions to the wdfw were significantly more than 30 bucks
Trying not to be too negative here, but im feeling a little slapped in the face.

Re: No triploids? & very few "jumbo's"?
And here is the very specific answer from wdfw, mill creek team : You are correct, there are no triploids this year. WDFW went into the 2017 legislative session with an identified shortfall of $27 million to provide the same services and products that we had in the previous biennium. At that time, w...

I can't say I've got a strong opinion either way, but would you mind sharing your reasoning behind this? I did choose my name so that I could be easily identified on the water, as did many others with names related to their boats etc.
