Re: Redondo Launch - Parking? Pressure?

I parked my suv and boat, walked down to survey the launch and was given a ticket. It was not a busy day but apparently the town needs to shake down people for silly and petty violations. SinceI am coming from Lacey, I've chosen to launch at Point Defiance and run up in my boat. I won't give them an...

boat and motorhome

I recently bought a 29' class c motorhome and am curious if anyone has success stories or otherwise to share regarding camping with a motorhome and boat. I have a 2002 16' Lund ProSport boat that weighs less than 2500 lbs on it's trailer. I'm curious what lakes and campgrounds in the state of Washin...

Re: Non Ethanol users?

I bought a Lund boat with a 50hp 4 stroke Yamaha two years ago. When I bought it the owner confessed that it started and ran well but couldn't accelerate hard from a dead stop without stalling out. You couldn't go full throttle from a dead stop. I have run more than 50 gallons of mid grade ethanol f...

small boat anchoring

Last weekend I took my 16' Pro Sport Lund boat over to Dash Point fishing for Pinks. I tried to anchor off shore and cast toward shore. My little 15lb mushroom anchor wouldn't hold me in a mild tide. What type of anchor works best for that kind of condition?

Re: Electric or kicker

I've tested home depot buckets in the place of a wind sock. Two buckets will get me down to a decent troll but it's asking for trouble with tangled lines etc. I haven't tried a drift sock. get a nice drift sock and hang it off the bow of the boat with another rope attached to the back. i bet that w...

Electric or kicker

I have a 16' Lund Pro Sport powered by a Yamaha 4stroke 50hp. It trolls fine for blackmouth at 2.5mph. What would be the best option for trolling for trout at 1.25 mph? What size elec or kicker would be best?
