Re: October 5th 2013 Snohomish/Skykomish riverside clean up

I'll take a seat with someone if there's one available, if not, no biggie. My 8 month pregnant wife and 2 year old just bailed on me, so I'll be showing up solo.

Re: October 5th 2013 Snohomish/Skykomish riverside clean up

Where's that map at? I've never been to Cady park in Snohomish. I'm sure I could find it on google maps, but where in the park are we meeting? Also, I wont be bringing fruit salad anymore, we have to duck out before noon to get to another function. Look forward to meeting you guys, hopefully get som...

Re: Mushroom identification??

Bottom one looks like an early chanterelle, but impossible to tell without seeing the ridges under the cap. If it's ridges instead of gills, it's a chanterelle. If it's gills, it's probably the jack O lantern mushroom, which will give you the worst diarrhea ever. Top one looks like a deer mushroom, ...

It'll happen, pretty sure this weekend is a total loss for rivers.

I may go down to Edmonds pier for squid or something.

Re: Lamiglas Cascade Pro rods

I love my x-11, not sure why people think they're trash just because the blanks are made in China. This rod has treated me well this year. Between my x11 and my Okuma sst, I've had a great year fishing with zero complaints. I mean, come on... They've been making fishing poles in China for a hell of ...

Re: Saving money for kids college

Yes, tuition is not expected to stop rising. It's about demand, and EVERYONE would like their kids to go to college even if it means going into deep debt. This didn't used to be the case. There will come a time when going to college is for the elite only once more, and then you will be glad you prep...

Re: Saving money for kids college

We are using the get program. My roommate growing up had one and it saved his parents tens of thousands of dollars. We have bought single credits (lump sum), but we are going to switch to a monthly plan soon and have it taken out of my paycheck. I would never put it into a mutual fund, ever seen a c...

Yeah, bonking them might kill them eventually, but if you bonk and then cut a gill their heart sprays blood everywhere, so it's obviously still beating.

I give them a whack with a rock or piece of driftwood til the eyes look straight then pull out the gills.

Re: Catch record cards

Your buddy is wrong, I've gotten phone calls from people at wdfw who are calling to verify what part of area 9 I caught things in, and what part of the river I caught things at. So either they picked my card out of an insurmountable pile and randomly called me, or they were going through them all an...

I found mine at a thrift store for 5 bucks, it's only a 16 quart, but it works well.

Just make sure it has the weight and seal

How come you don't let mobile users see your videos?

I click on it and it says "the content owner has made this video unavailable on mobile devices".

It's only with your videos too. I'm always on a tablet and not a computer so it kinda sucks I can't watch your dope vids

Re: Lake Easton

Lake Easton is a bummer, but the Yakima river is right outside of the state park.

Easton ponds are ok, last summer every time I went there all I caught was little dinky trout and tons and tons and TONS of northern pikeminnow. But still fun.
