Is there any decent river for sockeye around lake Stevens?

Going to Portland for business this weekend. Have to perform one job either Friday or Saturday which only takes about a couple of hours. Was thinking to take my fishing gear with me .... but what is there to target in the Portland area right now? It has to be close to the airport since I have to per...

There is no rain in the forecast until Oct 31st .... and that one doesn't even look so serious... we will be catching silvers on Christmas if there is another batch of fish waiting in the salt ;)

Thanks guys. I actually ended up at the Wallace on Sunday and caught a couple of fire trucks on chartreuse yarn. They didn't seem to be very picky even though the water was sooooooo low.

Anybody with any luck for silvers at Thomas Eddy lately? I was there after the big rain but only got a bunch of humpies...

Haha, ya! Lots of boats out there. Will be hitting the snoho tonight for high tide and slack. Hope the rain last night did something positive....

There are going to be lots of pinks and silver's in the mix. Can't wait for it !!!!!!

They are making there way down to MA 8-1 / 8-2 slowly... another 2 weeks and it will be red hot!!!

P.S. went to Rotary Park yesterday, didn't see any fish... few people fishing.

Went to this spot last weekend the first time. Donkey show describes it pretty well... Haha. Was catching a whole bunch of cutts, most of them undersized. I just recently moved here to WA and was wondering about the sockeye salmon fishing in lake Washington. When does it start? Do I need a boat or can I fish from the shore? What is a good setup to fish with either from shore or boat?

Does anyone know how the bank looks like around the mouth of the wallace? Is it flooded or good access with waders? I've never been down there but planning on going there on Saturday. Is it better to walk down to the bridge on the tracks or to walk on the shore of the river?
