Re: Kokanee Rods

What is the difference between a Kokanee rod & reel and a trout rod & reel? Mainly flexibility, kokanee have softer mouths. The ultra flexable kokanee rods help prevent the hook from being pulled out. Generally speaking i use my kokanee trolling set ups for trout as well. So far it's been effective...

Re: Kokanee Rods

I use lamiglass kokanee rods with Abu black max's with 10 lb mainline. Last season was my first season targeting kokes specifically, did ok but still have lot's to learn and improve on. I'm now pretty much obessed with catching these little beauties and can't wait for this season. My favorite lami k...

Re: Salmon fishing from shore

How are pinks caught in rivers, if they're still pretty chrome are they decent table fare? Never caught one before but plan too this season. If they're not worth eating I'll just C&R though, I also have a smoker if they'll smoke up ok when caught in rivers. If I get any in salt I'll keep them to eat...

Re: Chehalis tribal net schedule

That is depressing. Been watching the FishTheChelalis videos from the link you provided schu7498, this does not help improve my mood after watching them. Thanks for posting that link by the way, depressing but better to be informed then not!

Re: Bald Eagles Shot!

That is awful. Last year a little kokanee i tried to let go on Angle wasn't doing well and one of the pairing bald eagles on the lake swooped down and nabbed it, it was one of the coolest things i've seen out fishing. My bud and i were in awe and didn't think to film it, it happened ~20-25ft from us...

Re: Big Gold Fish

I've seen a couple in Angle Lake in SeaTac. They weren't very big though, could have been young or recently released. Hope they don't get out of control, they're a dirty fish and put out a lot of waste (at least that's what my Petco training taught me back in the day, could of just been a ploy to ge...

Re: I've known it all along, Fish can't feel pain

My grandfather used to fillet them live, sometimes the fish would still try to swim in the slop bucket with no muscle left, just a backbone and guts. Could never tell if that was just nerves twitching or if it was still alive and tryign to swim. I can't bring myself to do things that way, my fish ge...

Re: How do I not get skunked

So far being skunked is all i know with steelhead, still trying to catch my first. Landed one that a guide hooked, lots of fun, but cant count it as mine since i didnt hook it. I'm very new to steelheading though, bank fished on my own 3-4 times this year so far and this is my 1st year trying it. I'...
