Id like to thank all you guys that gave me info back in mid august. Really cut the learning curve down. Still fine tuning, but you guys gave me a great foundation

Re: Puget Sound salmon season

I was out Monday and it seemed a little slow, compared to what i heard sunday was like. Got my two, one small res and a high 7# ocean goer. Only had 4 bites. Ocean fish hit on the surface while i was putting the DR out. Ive had this happen twice now in the 4 trips ive gone out. When the squid is bac...

Re: Puget Sound salmon season

Hit up the oil dock area from 630-11. One small (7#) king released first 10min in. Miss a few drive bys after that. I think i finally figured out my issue with my DR setup, Ive missed quite a few takedowns so far. See if my percentage goes up next trip. My dad got a small resident coho at about 4# m...

Re: Puget Sound salmon season

Fished sunday from 730-1130. Had two good bites that popped the clip but didnt stick first thing. Pretty slow after that, just shakers. Saw a few netted. Talked to fish checker, said Sunday wasn’t great but Saturday alot of fish got checked in. Still just the smaller 4-5lbers, a few bigger ones mixe...

Re: Puget Sound salmon season

Thanks Bar. May take you up on that, I wanna see how running a surface line and a rigger line goes. I’ll shoot ya a PM if I feel like I need two DRs, see if you still have one available.

Re: Puget Sound salmon season

When you’re using just weight are you running a flasher as well? Was thinking that trolling at coho speeds there would be too much drag and bring the gear up to the surface.

Re: Puget Sound salmon season

Looking for some advice on divers. What kind do you guys like to run? Small, large? Never fished a diver setup, any beginner tips to shorten the learning curve. Or keep me from having a preventable mess... Thanks guys, I’ve much appreciated the help thus far. Looking forward to later this month and ...

Re: Puget Sound salmon season

Couple more questions: For those of you that use braid as your mainline, do you tie directly to the flasher with braid or have a topshot of 10-15 feet of mono before flasher? Do any of you guys ever just fish 4-6oz banana sinker with a OG, Spoon, superbait etc? I have one DR and will usually be fish...

Re: Puget Sound salmon season

Thanks for the tips on the launches and how far they are from the fishing grounds, great info. I have the boat to handle rough water so the Everett launch sounds like the one to use. Ill give the shipwreck, shilshole and near by areas a go. Do the successful guys move around alot or stick out a prov...

Re: Puget Sound salmon season

Im usually a river guy but want to target the coho this September from my boat, easier to get my daughter involved in a boat rather than banking it with 20 of my closest strangers. Ive seen some great tips on what gear use, what depths, what speeds and general areas for area 10. Do you guys target a...

Re: Potholes Res Crawfish

Wow, is that H. Lindsay, retired TFD? This is Z. Chandler. If that's you hope retirement is treating you well and you're pounding the salmon. Thanks for the tips on Corral. Take care.

Potholes Res Crawfish

I'm gonna be staying at potholes later this month. I wanted to drop some crawfish pots. Anybody done it there? If so what depth do you look for and what type of bottom? Never really done it successfully. Thanks

Re: Pipe/lucerne lake.... Year Round?

I did look in the regs, didn't see anything about either lake. Didn't know that if a lake isn't listed then it applies to the general rules. I'll re look at the regs. Thx

Pipe/lucerne lake.... Year Round?

I know that these lakes are private. I'm just wondering if they're year round or not. I've been invited to fish the lake with a homeowner, but he didn't know the regs. Anyone know? Thanks

Re: Green/Duwamish Netting?

I hit the river today above the 599 bridge. Lots of fish but man they weren't biting anything. They looked like they had been in the river for a while. Quite a few dark kings rolling too.

Green/Duwamish Netting?

So, does anyone know if they are netting? And if so what the schedule is? I'm very curious as I've heard many different rumors. Thx
