Agreed. I actually chuckled when she said that.goodtimesfishing wrote:I liked how kiro 7 pointed out that if a hatchery ran by the state would have done that.....it would have been illegal. Media usually tippy toes around negative issues involving natives.

Re: Holocost on the Skokomish!
What I don't understand is why the tribes wouldn't want to donate it? I would bet that food banks or "do-gooder" groups would even come to the river to pick the fish up making it even easier. The tribes would look like heros for making the donations & people in need would be fed. With all of the ten...

Re: Steelhead Newbie - Where to go?
As we get into the later months and closer to winter steelhead I was curious if any of the vets would be willing to share locations close to Federal Way that are good areas for Steelhead. By close I mean two hours or so, if there are any. My wife and I have salmon fished but would like to give wint...

Already booked... If we can't dig, we will just fish. I just wasn't sure if you could fish anywhere on the beach or if there are specific areas you have to stick to.

Ocean shores beach fishing & razor clams?
Hello All! I just booked a weekend in Ocean Shores for the family & had a few questions about fishing there. I haven't been there since I was a kid & just can't remember where we fished. Can you fish on any public beach or are there certain areas you have to stay within? I'm hoping to get the kids i...

Re: Bending Aluminum
I don't have any personal experience with aluminum but heating does sound like it would make it less likely to crack. I found this thread that might help...? Anxious to hear how it works out! Don't forget the pictures. [biggrin] http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net/threads/43079-Bending-aluminum-plate-w...

Re: Boat Dolly Ideas? Help!
What happens to the cart once the boat's in the water will depend on the destination. If where I'm launching is close to where I'll be able to park, I will just run it back to the truck. If I have to park beyond line of sight, I will likely bike lock it to a tree. I would be more worried about the b...

Re: Boat Dolly Ideas? Help!
Thanks BR! I think once I get the "kickstand" figured out, it will be just about exactly what I was shooting for.
Rosann- Thanks! It's my hubby's other wife, 52 Plymouth Cranbrook On the dolly subject, this design was super simple to make & is really sturdy. Do it!

Re: Boat Dolly Ideas? Help!
Moto- I had seen designs like that I liked them very much but decided I wasn't willing to give up the space in the boat. Especially if I'm going to take one of the dogs with me (by dogs I mean small humans at 90lbs & 115lbs). I decided to just use the deck sealer I have on hand because the time it w...

Re: Boat Dolly Ideas? Help!
I've already got it put together so picking up new wood isn't in the cards this time around. I think you're right though about sealing it. I have about a 1/2 gallon of of deck sealer left over from the summer. Do you think that would work or would something different be better?
