Thats kind of what I figured. I know of the immediate control rule, but was wondering if there was some sort of additonal regs on a device designed to be left as an unmanned trap of sorts. I had a feeling it would still be under the immediate control blanket, though.
Thanks John!

Re: Texas pond outside Darrington
Been here once. We caught a few hogs. Not sure what else is in there aside from brookies. Several little ones too if I remember right. Where were you fishing at? We went over to the far side of the lake from the launch area and did ok. Getting my 14 ft sled over the log jams in the middle ended up b...

Fishing by way of Yo-Yo
I didn't even know these existed until recently. Out of curiosity, I went to research the regs on using these devices but couldn't find anything. I assume its legal in WA? Any idea on the regulations? I don't plan on using one, but it seems like it would be a cool thing to throw in with backpacking ...

Re: gissberg ponds catfish ar any channel catfish
Cassidy out by Lake Stevens/Marysville has bullhead cats apparently. I'll be giving that a shot pretty soon, and might hit up Gissberg as well. Good info in here!

The wind over at Jameson on opening weekend was crazy. Pretty standard though, I guess.

Re: Fazon Lake info?
Like gfakkema said, the launch is pretty terrible unless you are launching out a smaller boat. However, I did see someone get a wakeboarding boat out there last year. He was just testing out some repairs he did I guess. It's a smaller lake with no motor restrictions, which is kind of cool. We snagge...

Heading over to Jameson. Chances are the buzz we catch will be bigger than the fish though.

Re: Lots of big trout!
Last year around this time I picked up some bigger fish up at lake goodwin, so that might be worth a shot. I was thinking about giving that a try myself one of these days. We got skunked hard at Goodwin about a week ago. The water seems to be warming up a bit, though it was still pretty cold. I thi...

Seasons for lakes not in the reg book
I know this has been discussed before. I did a couple searches on the forum, but couldn't find an answer. If a lake is not in the reg book, is it considered year round? I want to say that the answer was yes based off what I have seen here, but I wanted to double check before I go out and end up with...

Not sure about the sound, but we get a ton of them up on Vancouver Island when El Nino is in full swing. I know they aren't in huge numbers in the Strait of Georgia, so I am not sure how much action Juan de Fuca and Puget get. Seems like they mainly stick to the costal waters, even when the warmer c...

I guess I misread your post. The way you wrote it, it made it seems like you were saying the municipal rules only applied to lakes that were not listed in the pamphlet.

Re: gas powered boating lakes ???
What's wrong with the Washington State 2012 - 2013 Sport Fishing Rules Pamphlet? All you have to do is look up any body of water you want fish on. If it doesn't say "internal combustion motors prohibited" then they are ok to use. Not necessarily true. Compare the list provided by SnoCo with the rul...

I haven't seen one for the state, but here is a list for Snoho. I know one for King also exists. Maybe Pierce as well.

Re: Looking for Tips for "Puttin' on the Dough"
A tip would be to barrow some cotton balls from your wife's makeup drawer. Pull some cotton, about the same size as the power wad your building. Send the hook through the wad of cotton. Then embed, smear, thoroughly saturate the power bait into the cotton, rolling the final product into the desired...

Guide for how to fish different lures?
I am very new to fishing for bass, and really don't have a ton of knowledge on the subject. I see tons of different recommendations for which rigs to use when it comes to lures, but I have run into one big issue: what is the proper way to fish these lures? I know there are different ways to fish a s...

I might do the same. I haven't fished there since I was young. Mixed reports are good enough for me.
