Re: Good spots to fish from the shore on the Eastside

No pier on Beaver, but good bank access from the park and the boat launch. I've seen quite a few fish caught off the bank there.

Re: Cow options

I may have to go down to Portland this weekend, and I was thinking about stopping at the Cowlitz for a while on the way back. I've never been to this river before though, so I was wondering if anybody could share a couple of places that have bank access? I don't expect anybody to give up their secre...

Re: Facebook IPO

They really offer no commodity to its clients. . That's because the users of Facebook aren't Facebook's customers, they are the commodity that is being sold to it's real customers: the advertisers. All of that private info that everybody puts up on Facebook? It's all being sold to advertisers and o...

RE:New to Washington Fishing, any suggestions appreciated

I moved here from Michigan (lower peninsula) five years ago, and things are a fair bit different. -Regulations: Like others have said, read the regulations, and keep them with you. Unlike back home where the majority of regulations are the same no matter where in the state you are, here things vary ...

RE:Mosquito Repellant

Try this stuff. I used it when I was hiking through the jungle in Thailand a couple of years back and didn't get a single mosquito bite. You can get it cheaper (tax free if I remember correctly) if you go to one of the King County Public Health Centers that do travel vaccinations and consultations. ...

Barclay Lake in database twice

I was looking into information for Barclay lake, and there are two entries for that name in Snohomish County in the database. One has three reports attached to it, the other has none. Is that a duplicate entry in the database, or is there really two Barlcays in Snohomish?

RE:funny fishing pictures

I couldn't find any of the cartoons online, but there is a great fishing humor book titled "Fishing Bass-Ackwards". It's over 15 years old now, but you can still find it on Amazon for fairly cheap. There is some very funny cartoons in there, as well as some some funny storries and "roasts" of differ...

RE:The Winner of the 2008 WL.com Scenic Picture contest is....

I just heard that the prize is a 85' Carver Yacht with a 21' Boston Whaler lifeboat. Hopefully nobody from the IRS reads this site, the taxes on that would kill me....:-$ I'd like to thank everybody who worked to put this contest together. Next time you do one of these, let me know if I can help. I...

Not meaning to hijack your thread, but I actually logged onto the site to start a very similar thread to this one. Does anybody have any experience with the Sea Eagle Inflatables? Link to Cabela's HERE I was considering one of these and was curious if anybody had any positive or negative experiences...

RE:Scenic Picture Contest Voting Poll 1

I just noticed that picture 2 and 4 look alike but just in a different season. amazing what a little snow can do to a picture. You are right, there is a definite resemblance in the two pictures. Based on the name of #4 though, it is a different lake than the one in #2. Then again, those alpine lake...

RE:WL.com Scenic Picture Contest

Hello all. I'm a fairly new member to the site, I jsut heard about it a week or so ago when I ran into a member while out fishing. I figured a good way to get involved would be to enter this contest, so here goes. Due to the picture dimensions of some of them, they weren't showing up correctly insid...
