just be careful where you park. They are towing cars parked on River Road and in Mama Stortini's parking lot. You must park on the street there. Good luck.

RE:Puyallup river new anglers!

Here it is. Not a big secret, (no need to pm you...everyone knows about it and how to do it.)there's 1,000 people down there fishing this method right now. 15# main line,(I like P-line CXX) 12# maxima leader. 6' leader (some are up to 8', but that length isn't necessary) with 2 #14 corkies on a 1/0 ...

RE:not answering questions

heck, I've gotten looks from old timers too, and it doesn't mean they are shocked at your appearance, it means you are invading their fishing territory. The "keep on moving pal" look. Usually, if they are friendly you can stop and talk, but some believe if they are too friendly, you won't go away. L...

Tapps smallies

Had a pretty good morning hooking a releasing 6 or 7 of these critters. Didn't have to search very hard. The bridge hole was producing. A boat fishing nearby with a little girl caught one about this size. She was excited to say the least. Good job! The fish are hanging around cover in 14+ feet of wa...

I'm in! My schedule is pretty hit and miss though. I work at a sporting goods store, so being retail, I close alot during the week and weekends. Best thing to do, is pm me and we'll go from there. I'd be happy to take someone out on Lake Tapps (I live on Church Lake) or other bodies of water nearby....

RE:Trolling a Wedding Ring for trout.......

Jimi, here's my input, although I'm no expert, I've used this technique over the years and it usually produces. Use the Double whammy if you have one and put on a crawler so that only about 1" or so hangs back below the bottom hook. Attach to a size #7 black barrel swivel. put on a #4 crimp lead abo...

RE:How's The Fishing At Lake Tapps?

it is a large lake and you can get lost if you don't know the lake. There are several nice areas around the launch that you can spend an entire day fishing without venturing away too far. Take a right out of the launch and fish all along that shoreline to the dike and then over to the next cove. You...

Area 11 yesterday

Got the boat in the water at Pt. Defiance at 4:30 a.m. and didn't waste any time getting the riggers set for our first run at the slag pile. We were set up to use a green hotspot with a spatterback hoochy. 1 hour later, no bites but lots of fish showing..and..lots of bait. Hmmm maybe they're full? W...

Rich, they don't drop it enough nowadays to form the original lakes, but when Church Lake is completely dry, Tule Lake is still there. It's a small lake in the southern most part of Church that maintains water through the winter...but don't see that much anymore. Tapps has had a bad rep. for years ...

RE:whackin' a Muskie on Lake Tapps

To many people even knowing the rules prefer to still take illegal fish, until wardens crack down harder it's going to continue to happen. Of course you have the people who go out fishing believing anything goes when it comes to gear, or fish caught. The reg book should be mandatory with any purcha...

RE:whackin' a Muskie on Lake Tapps

That sucks! Some people don't know the rules and unfortunately don't look them up. How does a Muskie get into Church lake? I know its right by Tapps but are they connected somehow? Yes. Lake Tapps is made up of 5 flooded lakes making 1 with 45 miles of shoreline. Church Lake is the furthest souther...

We thought about it. Havent been fishing much lately. Busy most of the day Sat and just plain lazy on Sunday. Did get a tasty batch of short ribs smoked though  lazy was my m.o. this past weekend. I didn't fish due to that reason...it's getting pretty bad when laziness keeps us away from fi...

Dont eat the carp from Green Lake if you catch any. I saw a sign that stated that they were not safe to eat or contaminated. The sign is around the bushes at the right side of the L shape pier. The pier is at the SE corner of the lake around the aqua theater. I'm not claiming to be a scientist. I s...
