RE:Temperature question for you smoker guys

GPC,

Is it because of the salt etc. that makes it is safe to let sit out at room temperature all night? No worries about bacteria when it's drying over night?

Thanks,

Temperature question for you smoker guys

Hi All, I just did the first round of trout in my new Mini-Chief smoker. As a beginner I know the first round of fish will not turn out that great, but I look forward to getting better as this seems like a great way to save money and create some wonderful culinary creations to boot! My question is, ...

RE:Good Smoker Suggestion?

Question. Can you put frozen trout in a smoker? I just got my new mini-chief put together and have about 10 trout cleaned and in the freeze. Should I thaw them out in the fridge for a day before smoking? Thanks!

RE:Sea run Cutts and silvers

I was out at Richmond Beach a few weeks ago and caught what I believed to be a small Silver? My buddy said it was a Blackmouth, but I don't think so. We were going for Sea-runs of course. What is the best place close to Bellevue/Seattle to go for these right now? I got laid off and plan on doing a t...

RE:Pine Lake (king Co.) Trout Sores

I spoke with a gal at WDFW today. She said they had a lot of calls about concerns with the fish at Pine Lake. Well, someone actually brought them in one and tests were run supposedly. She said that there is no danger in eating them and they are healthy. She didn't offer what it was, but said there i...

RE:Good Smoker Suggestion?

Thanks KTK. I saw those pictures of yours on Photobucket where you use the Food Saver. When you take it out of the freezer do you reheat it or just let it thaw in the fridge and eat it cold on crackers or something? I will go grab one of those. Now just make sure you don't give me a tough time when ...

RE:Good Smoker Suggestion?

I went with the Mini-Chief from Cabela's, I think for what I'll be doing it should be fine. I like the fact that it is a top-loader....If I really get into it, I will end up getting a bigger and better one.

Any tips on freezing what you Smoke?

Thanks for the feedback guys.

RE:Who's going where tomorrow?

I'll most likely be at Pine, in a Sea Eagle 9 raft with trolling motor. Say hi if you see me. I'll be the one trying to catch a Bass, the first one in oh.... 33 years or so. :-$

RE:Beaver Lake (Issaquah) Bass question

After reading through a lot of the old forums, I have answered my own questions.

Just got back from the store, bought a bass set-up and some tackle. I'll post about how it goes. May try Beaver or Pine (If the crowds aren't too bad) tomorrow.

Beaver Lake (Issaquah) Bass question

Hi, I was wondering if any could share some tips on fishing Beaver Lake for Bass. I used to fish for bass when I was a kid with a Hula Popper. But now-a-days it looks like plastic worms and lizards are used rigged Texas and Carolina style? I just starting to learn about this and may go out tonight a...
