Re: Brands of welded hull boats..?
We have a 16 foot all welded smokercraft Phantom. We absolutely love it. Big enough to fish the sound on decent days and perfect for most lakes. The phantoms are kinda rare, but the pro tracer and osprey are nice reasonably priced boats as well. The alumaweld Talon also looks like a decent welded 16...

Re: Water Pump on Honda Outboard
Hey Stryker would you mind giving me the contact info for the guy in Duvall. I got three motors I need water pumps done in and would love to find a better alternative to normal shop rates.

Re: Anybody experienced with the various 'Mini down riggers' ?
I have used the walker mini downriver quite a bit. I really like it and it seems to be well built. Can't remember exactly how the brake works... but from what I remember it worked decently. They seemed the best as far as quality goes with the mini down riggers. They come up on craigslist sometimes f...

Re: Seals
It sure is! Used the slingshot alot yesterday and it seemed to work. We still had the seal follow us for some of the day, but did not have it take any fish off the line this time! From now on will always have a slingshot onboard.

Seals
While fishing for blackmouth this past week we lost three really nice fish to seals. The whole day we had between two and three following right behind us. I was fishing with someone from Oregon who said that down there a lot of people will shoot them with slingshots just to keep them away. Is that l...

Totally agree with you on this. Just would like to see that distinction made as still fishing seems to deep hook them a lot.

Re: WDFW Freshwater Policy Proposals
Why are you in favor of removing the ruling regarding all fish being caught on bait counting towards daily limit whether retained or not? Just curious at first glance I thought that was probably one of the few things that should not be messed with. Just wondering.

hoodsport boat launch
I am looking at taking a friend down to the hood sport hatchery for chum. We will be going in the first two weeks of Nov. I have a 16 foot boat and am looking for a place to launch (preferably with a 2 wheel drive vehicle). If anyone would be willing to let me know of a decent launch that would be g...

Friends to fish with
Hello, My wife and I spend a lot of our free time fishing and are looking for other couples that also enjoy spending time on the water and fishing. We generally fish on Thursday or weekends, but can be flexible. We are outside of Monroe so we fish the sound and local larger lakes and rivers. We have...

Minn Kota 30 lb thrust
Hello, I have a 30 lb thrust Minn Kota that I no longer use since I got a 50lb. Pushed my 12 foot boat very well and it works great. Has a little scraping on one side of the top due to riding in the boat. $60 I am right outside of Monroe, but go to Seattle and up north pretty much every week. motor....

Re: Steelhead float rod question
I have both a sst and x11 float rod and would buy only the sst if I had to do it over again. They are both nice but the sst seems to be just a little bit lighter and it is usually a little cheaper price wise. Also Okuma has much better customer service in my experience.

Re: Okuma SST 10 ft 6 Float Rod
Also keep in mind that I have found the Okuma warranty to be even better then lamiglass. I have got several new tips from Okuma for different rods and have always got them very quickly and without any problems. Even when it is my fault has only cost 14.95 or so.

I have the 6-12 lb for steelhead and love it. Hard to beat it for the price in my opinion.
