2013 Riverhawk 16' ARV (PRO V16)
Sad times have fallen upon this angler. My wife last year bought a "fishing pontoon" and now my sled sits neglected and lonely in my shop. I thought I would still use it a lot but quickly realized my kids want to fish from a couch, and my buddies, while mocking the party barge setup only want to fis...

Kokanee in Rock lake.
I am looking for information, names and or ideas about getting fish and game to put Kokanee in Rock lake. Even though Rock is supposedly a warm water lake, the depth and formation of the lake seem ideal for Kokanee. I know when I first joined this sight there was one or 2 reports of guys landing a K...

Hayden kokanee open seat April 11
I am going to hit Hayden tomorrow morning early until the wind becomes unmanageable. I am going solo so if anyone wants to jump in they are more than welcome. PM me for contact info and specifics. You don't need any gear or experience.

Re: Casting at Jumping/rolling kokanee
I love this Website. I went out and bought a wide variety of spinners and spoons to try on my next trip out. Looks like another trip is in my future. Steellheadin360, did you happen to notice that you were getting a consistently larger size of fish than you would normally pick up trolling? Thanks fo...

Casting at Jumping/rolling kokanee
Watched an interview this weekend with a guide that runs trips on Lake Merwin for kokanee. He was consistently pulling in bigger fish than is the standard for that lake. He went on to state that he was casting to jumping kokes and that was where he was getting the larger class of fish from. I just w...

Re: Fall Trout
My trip last monday was my 1 year anniversary with my boat and as fulltime captain. I have fished for years in my buddy's boat when I lived in Oregon city but since our move I have had to learn all those things I took for granted. It has been a great year and had many more successful days than not. ...

comments on fishing reports
I was wondering if you could set it up so that we receive a message when someone comments on a fishing report we made so that we know if they have questions or suggestions about your success or in my case lack there of. Often times when I read reports of others you can glean a lot more knowledge fro...

Lake Roosevelt Sat trout/kokanee
I had a couple guys cancel for a Saturday trip to lake Roosevelt. I can take 2 guys in my 16ft open sled. I have rods and gear including identifiers. I would like to leave Spokane early morning and let the fishing dictate the day. Targeting trout and kokanee, emphasis on the later. I will provide tr...

Big Game Hunting from a Boat...
Has anyone on here thought about or know a good area of water that runs through public lands, or a lake surrounded or atleast bordered by some NF. Glassing from the boat away from roads and the other hunters has paid off in the past for me in Oregon, and a buddy of mine has taken a couple of nice Wh...

Re: outboard boat motors
Evinrude all the way. Used to be a Mercury fan but that was mainly because that was what was on the boat, kind of like if you buy your first truck as a chevy, you convinced yourself that they are the best. I have ran (not neccesarily owned) considerable hours on all 3 of 4 the main motors out there,...

Re: Boating/Fishing Armed...
I never leave home without one, and since most incidents with crime and fishing are vehicles being broken into at the boat launch, it doesn't make sense to leave it in the truck. And theses days it is always better to have and never need, than need and not have. Personal responsibility plain and sim...

Re: Fishing Buddies/Open Boat Availablity List
Name CoyoteCrazy 16ft riverhawk open sled Spokane area. I just got the boat not to long ago and have had a few good trips but I am tired of catching rainbows. I am looking to learn about bass, walleye, panfish and just the local lakes in general. The wife hates me going fishing by myself so looking ...

Has anyone checked out Waitts lake recently? I like the lake but it is a long drive and I would rather not tow the boat if I can sit on the ice. Thanks.

Re: Hunting Rifle...
I just wroet a similar reply for another gentleman, but since I will be near the top of your replies I will get my opinion out early. If you plan on hunting the area where you live you are not really worried about long range shooting, plus the fact that 90% of animals taken are under 100 yrds, you d...

Blues Mtn Hunting
I have hunted the Blue Mtn on the oregon side, but I am making my first trip to the WA side for Black bear this weekend. I am looking for any place to start or trails that are more productive than others. Any inside info would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: What hunting rifle???
What Ranges are you looking at hunting? If you can only get one gun, 45/70. The new Hornady rounds make it lethal out to 200 yrds, the heavy bullet drops everything and you can even drive the shoulder on a bison. It does have long range limitations, but 90% of animals taken are shot under 100 yrds. ...

Re: Downrigger for Kokes...
I prefer using light gear, test, poles, etc.. So use a down rigger ball with and extra eyelet and run your trolling gear from the ball and then trail your lure 6 to 10 feet behing your ball. When the Koke strikes and pops your line free( use a lighter clip for kokes and trout) the only pull you will...

Re: Coyote Hunting
Another option depending on how into guns and of course the amount you want to spend. Savage Arms just came out with their Mark II FV-SR which you can get in any rimfire caliber(I would choose the .17HMR) that has a threaded barrel which they tout as "suppressor Ready" Then you just have to get the ...
