Heading to Cabelas tommorow and I am gonna get a baitcaster rod and reel. Now whats the best option for like $100?

Sure didn't seem like a 35,000 plus run today. Didn't see one fish jump. Going to a different spot tommorow. Hope the opener produces unlike today.

Nothing hit anyones stuff, really weird since theres at least 4 kinds of fish in there right now.

We tried the Skagit by the i5 bridge today and nothing hit. I was gonna see where everyone is going weather it be Reiter or somewhere else. Me my dad and a buddy of ours are wanting to hook some sockeye or steelies.

He was using a purple and pink spin in glo with a pink squid over the hook.

My dads buddy caught a nice 17lb wild buck the other day. Had to let it go of course but means they are in there.

Anyone doing any good?

I've also heard some people say they are hard to cast.

I'm probably going to cabelas tommorow and looking at a few. I guess what I'm asking is how many guys prefer baitcaster reels to spinning reels?

I've been looking on cabelas website at them and I wanna get one of the roundish flat bait casters but they say the are for only like 10 to 12 lbs test. That can't be right.. My buddy was hauling in 50lb kings last year on a bait caster.

What are the pros and cons between baitcasting reels and spinning reels?

I'm gonna be going to cabelas to get one before Saturday's opener.
