RE:fly fishing vacation
Go to B.C. There are a number of great lakes in the Kamloops and Kootenay areas that fish really well at that time of year. If you want to spend the money to go to a private resort AND have great stillwater fishing, go to Douglas Lake Ranch, stay at Stoney Lake Lodge, and fish Minnie and Stoney Lake...

Medical Lake and its solar powered aerators
I know that alot of you fish Medical Lake quite a bit, and I am interested in some input from you. In years past, Medical Lake would become like pea soup from all the algae growth quite early in the summer. With the two solar powered aerators on Medical Lake now, have those of you who fish it alot n...

RE:Kick Fin Help
I got some fins at Sportsman's warehouse made by Browning for $38 a few years ago. I have been extremely happy with them. A number of companies have a somewhat similar design, such as the Creek Company fins on the same Website that Marc has in his post. They are $36.

RE:New Fly Tube
I recommend that you get an open front type of float tube. The circular ones are dangerous. I have an Outcast Super Fat Cat. It is out of the price range you are looking for, but they make an almost identical tube that I believe is in your price range, and there are similar styles made by other comp...

RE:Medical Status
I went out to Amber, North silver and Medical Lake on Wednesday. Amber and Medical were solidly socked in with ice. North Silver had one or two areas where it looked like the ice was about gone. I'm ready to get out the ice augur and see if I can put the fly in the 8 inch hole from 30 feet. Who know...

raping and pillaging Amber Lake
I recently drove out to Amber Lake to get some feel for whether or not the ice would be off for the March 1 opener. Of course, the lake is still iced over with a thin layer of snow/slush on it. I was very distressed to see lots of footprints going back and forth from the boat launch to a hole in the...

RE:Medical Lake Regulations Change
This is a wonderful change in the regs. I am looking forward to having a fabulous time in March and early April fishing chironomids on this lake.
