Hoping this thread is still active.... I have a question regarding WDFW policy on freshwater limits. Are our species catch limits also considered combined daily limits? For instance if I fish American Lake for kokanee and trout, each with a 5 fish limit, is it legal to retain 5 kokes AND 5 trout or ...

Here's something that happened when I was much younger. A buddy and I decided to camp the weekend on a Northern California stream and "live off the land". We were both decent fly fishermen by then and brought the spinning gear also. Friday was a wash so we hit the sack hungry vowing Saturday morning...

I agree that any model can be adapted for any purpose or hull. What I did cannot be considered truly portable as the mount is permanent, but as you can see my situation was a tad more unique!

I agree on the hellgrammites.....one of the best trout baits on the planet. I used to trap my own when I was a kid until my Pop blistered my rear end for taking the small bathroom screen down to the creek to catch them!

Trimming this pattern might work....stonefly I believe...
