DISABILITY HOLE IMPROVEMENTS@BLUE CREEK
=D> Had a talk w/Delores today concerning the changes @ the dis. ramp at blue creek. Seems they are gonna close the one at the hatchery that we can no longer get to and improve the one at the boat launch area. Yes,there were two at one time but due to funds probs will only be the one. They are consi...

Re: CAVITATION ISSUE
Since last post I've been in touch with garvin co, They do not make a trailerable drop unit but did suggest a serial number that could be adapted(your on your own here) it's for a two stroke. I will continue to search about and in the mean time 1/2 throttle it will have to be. That lil suzuki runs f...

Re: CAVITATION ISSUE
Since my first post I have found a garlic 71090 4 stroke bracket. I might have to go this way and fab my own handle out of aluminum. Problem is it is for 7 1/2 to 30 hp so might be using said handle to push down as well. Still searching, the one I saw was red(ugly red) and going to fast on a trailer...

Re: CAVITATION ISSUE
thanks for the info that is sort of what I saw and will keep that site in mind. The one I'm looking for has a handle to raise and lower the motor - a lil more old man friendly and probably more cost!! Maybe I'm just wishin but with a bad back I would not be able to lift the motor w/out a lil leverage.

Re: CAVITATION ISSUE
thanks for the info but not what I'm looking for rich. What I'm looking for is attatched to the transom and you put your motor on it. You can then lower this unit into the water manually to put the prop lower in the water. You can raise it when you are shooting the rapids. I thought about long shaft...

CAVITATION ISSUE
A couple months ago I posted an issue with my suzuki 6 horse slipping in gear when the throttle was in go fast mode. This is my slow time so took it to the shop for new cable for the boat and the slipping issue - glad I did as there was a leak which is now fixed around water pump(3 broken bolts) the...

flossing/snagging
:salut: I just left the natetreat issue about rud duds and have to admit - I dont have a clue what flossing is, I'm guessing that a flosser is someone who tries to slip his line into the mouth of a fish and then rip it's lips off???? My problem is this. If I use a corky and yarn on a three foot lead...

how about some wire ties and attatch to motor, you can also apply some screw in type wire clamps and run them up high - leave your drain hole alone

RE:Waders become a giant sinker. Other clothing options?
hey,hip boots is another option, ya don't get as far out into the "troubled waters" but gives you a slight advantage over the street shoe guy's. There is a down side to this as some people just don't get it and will let there line float into you and then start trying to snag something - and it ends ...

#-o So I finally got my sled in the water which is a westcoaster by Valco. Now I've never used the down riggers but found out real fast that a flat bottom with a walkin canopy and a lil wind is a real fun time. Especially when you are trying to use a dn rigger. So I got a bit frustrated and sped up to...

RE:New Boat!
just re-read your post and if you have stickers over vinyl it might not be a good idea after all as the heat from the gun(hair dryer) could tend to raise both - they have chems you can use - go to ....com and get into the boat section. there are topics on this for you to paruse.
