Northwest Fishing Reports

So after sifting around the net for smallmouth fishing at sammamish, I discovered that that the Issaquah creek empties out there and is great for shore fishing... can anyone corroborate this? And do soft jerkbaits work? Or should I go to Lake Washington?

drop shot? Dead sticking? Less active retrieves on the baits that you mentioned? The kind of approach depends on the pattern they are on, such as pre and post spawn etc. And how are they relating to the spot? Use techniques that haven't been used before because others have seen these fish and tried ...

Okay, I may be able to go to Seattle in a few weeks, and was hoping to catch some smallies at sammamsih, but I have no access to boats and not sure if they actually allow to rent boats there. So does anyone know where to fish from shore and what lures?
