Re: Questions on Kayak fishing

So I have been kayaking before, I however have not been on a sit on top. Do any of those places down on lake Union have any that style? I have been kicking this idea around for years and now that it seems to be taking off more I was just wondering what others thought about it. It seems like you woul...

Questions on Kayak fishing

So I have been kicking around the idea of dabbling in the Kayak fishing world. I have obviously been on youtube and been searching around on CL, this can only get you so far though. I have many questions, what size for mainly lake use, blah blah blah you know, the basics. If you have any experience ...

Re: I saw the new regs are out online....

That makes sense. But I heard a random rumor that the tribe won some court case, and therefore regular sport anglers wouldnt be able to fish the river. Maybe this is just one of those rumors that comes up every now and then? I hope so

Re: I saw the new regs are out online....

Hey Just reading through the regs myself. Is it me or did I miss something on the Duwamish? The picture is super confusing. Is the shaded area part of the "8" or something different? Did something happen with that river/tribe?

One of my favorite floats! I know they stopped the shuttle guy last year as well. Im guessing you went down to look at it? Is it something we could make a trail around with a machete?

Re: hard to pull 2 piece rods apart

+1 for the above post. It works Also if you have one that is stuck and you didnt use the above trick there is something else you can try. Bare with me it may be difficult to explain via text. Sitting down you place the rod over your knee/thigh with the ferrule being centered directly over your knee/...

Re: Coho Rod

I have owned all three, I personally would go with the HMX. I bout the okuma, it wasnt horrible but I broke it hiking one time. I then bought the HMX to replace the Okuma and fish the day lights out of that rod! That rod had easily over 100 fish on it. I broke the HMX on a tree or something and got ...

Re: Sorry have to ask

Whats funny is for me, the adds are normally something else I have googled lately. I can always tell when my wife has been on my computer because all the adds you are talking about have shoes and purses in them. For me that has been a good thing. I get all the praise for getting her exactly what she...

Re: Tough times, sell all fishing gear

It definitely depends on what fishing gear you speak of. If you have a 30,000.00 boat in the drive way and your about to loose your house that keeps your family dry/warm, Id sell it in a heartbeat. If its rods that originally cost 100 bucks and you need to pay 1500 dollar mortgage, I wouldnt. I have...

Re: for the egg- less man

fire cure up some raw prawns. Salt em up first then add fire cure and bag over night. Add em to your jig and hold on. this I like red and orange, others might not agree. But it seems to work for me. I grabbed that krill plus egg scent Im going to try that stuff. My prawns have been marinating since...

Re: for the egg- less man

I would fire cure some shrimp, depending on color and scent they can be just as deadly.

Last year towards the end of the season I was talking to a couple of guys who bought some eggs and just re-cured them at home, they said it worked pretty well for them and caught fish.

Good luck HTH

Re: Dick Nite set up

One thing I saw a lot of guys doing with the pinks (due to a softer mouth, but might work here) is to have your drag pretty tight for the hookset and right after the first couple head shakes reach up and loosen it up to normal. I know a lot of guys dont like to mess with the drag with a fish on (mys...

Re: coho jigs?

I agree with waht has been said, but I will add; I started tying my own last season and one of the most important things I think I learned was tie up two or three of each one you tie, even the ones you think wont be great. There is nothing worse than to have a jig you tied be on fire then get lost t...

Re: 2013 Humpy Fishing Bloopers and Blunders

I always love the two foot cast with enough force to make a crater. We all do it from time to time but when its over and over from a guy who comes off like he is the best is always fun. I had the two guys up river from me on the Skag hook up, of course they run right at me and all three tangle. I cu...

Like new Lami 8' 6" G1307 150.00 OBO

Title says it all. I got this as a gift and returning at this point would be more of a PITA. So im passing on the good deal. I only fished with it for about ten minutes and decided I wanted to go a different route. Sweet rod, sensitivity is great and has back bone as well. Get yourself a new twitchi...
