Re: When things can go bad in a hurry
Agree with how age has nothing to do with it. I was jet skiing last summer and blew the motor on a choppy day. Wetsuit and life jacket saved my life. 5 straight hours of swimming with the Jetski, getting pounded by waves and wind and I made it to shore, it was dark, I was cold and throwing up from d...

Re: Transducer mounting
doesn't look parallel to me.. pretty sure it needs to run even with the boat bottom and at a almost perfect flt angle, looks like its off kilter a bit perhaps? picture could be off too.. Yeah the mounting directions suck. It says make parallel to the boat bottom, then says should be parallel to the...

Transducer mounting
Got a new elite 5 dsi from lowrance with my boat. Does this okay for the transducer mounting? When I had it before it went from 60-120 feet without changing and just blinked over and over. Never showed bottom or fish.

Re: Pink fishing in the salt.
Thanks guys its appreciated. Not sure when I'll be able to get out again. Watch the baby in the morning and work 11am-8:30pm every day with just Saturdays off. And I work the next 3 Saturdays. I'd be happy to let anyone on my boat, its a small Lund ProSport 1600, but does the job well for 2. I'll ne...

Re: Pink fishing in the salt.
All I can say is that there is nothing worth reporting. After 11 hours of trying various depths, different baits, scents, from shilshore to a spot called picnic point, threw in the towel and came in to the launch to be humiliated by the checker and made me want to just stick with the river.Tried tro...

Re: Pink fishing in the salt.
Thanks all I will get some pics tomorrow when I'm out there with her. Hopefully will get some blood in her and get mom into a fish!
Never used buzz bobs, so I hooked up my coho dock nite rig with a larger weight and can try that.

Cool thanks Mike, I'm kinda close to Edmonds so I can give it a try. Never used a downrigger so that will be a learning experience for me, haha.

Pink fishing in the salt.
Finally got a sound (safe) worthy boat! Just wondering are there any pinks still left in the salt around area 9? I'm itching to start learning the salt. My mom is coming to visit and if anyone could share a spot ill give it a go so I can get her into a fish. Also want to try for silvers, I live in t...

I'll keep trying! The lake I fish is overcome by swimmers and I look for sea glass.

Going to eastern wa for the weekend
Want to show my little brother fishing isn't boring. We will be shore fishing in the ellensburg/cle elum/vantage area. Don't want anyone's secret spots just anywhere he can catch any kind of fish to show its not all just waiting and hoping. I've fished the woodhouse loops ponds and seen huge fish, b...

RE:Pinks in the...SKOKE!
Well, that's my last time posting here. Thanks for all the great info.... Seriously. WA state has the rudest fisherman, just asked 2 people here at the river what's a good sized hook to use, and all they could say is "damn foreigner taking our fish". Funny, cause I would think people would be helpfu...

I'm going tomorrow morning... Anyone have any advice for a first timer? Never fished a river in Washington, let alone for a salmon.

Catfish size? (only 3rd time fishing WA)
Please tell me if im crazy or what. I grew up fishing in Iowa and Puerto Rico, so this year is my first on the water in Washington. Are catfish here usually only 3-5lb? I used different methods than everyone else out there (Banks Lake) was using, single size 8 hook, with a piece of nightcrawler and ...
