yes you can, some parts are faster than others, but honestly there are better spots on that river than geyser, i have fished geyser more than my share and strike out there more than not, i would say go to metzler park just bellow geyser

Also, i would not just go jump in the middle of all the combat fishing going on untill you get the hang of it, find a nice spot on the river where noone is at and practice.

I would get a fast action pole for starters, i prefer a 9'6" bait casting setup, a roll of pencil lead, and the rest depends on what your fishing for, cast at your 11 o'clock position and let your setup drift down to you 2 o'clock or so, keep your line tight so you can feel your weight bouncing on t...

there is nothing wrong with braid unless you tangle up with the guy next to you, i would say the pros outway the cons for useing braid by a long shot

yea i was down by hunters farms yesterday, and i joined all the people fishin off the log jam, i could see where all the fish were and i would drift my rig right infront of them, but my corkie and yarn would just go over them every time,, maybe im not useing enough weight?

I hit that same spot this evening, when I showed up there was a guy who had just landed a nice king, maybe 15lbs, just on orange beads no yarn, and a 5' leader. The fish are makin there way in, I think this weekend should be good, not great yet. but this river should be produceing soon, stay with it...
