I dropped a few crawdad traps a few hundred yards from the pier at Log Boom Park a few weeks ago. Soaked them for a few hours with herring and bacon as bait. Only caught two little minnows.

Shad?

The last time I went fishing for shad was over ten years ago down in Oregon on the Columbia, Willamette, and Umpqua Rivers. I'm just curious if there are any river systems here in WA that get fishable shad runs besides the Columbia? I searched 'shad' on this forum, but all I see is 'Shad Eating Grin...

I've used it as a attractant while fishing for sturgeon on the Willamette. That was back in the 80's. We were spraying it on cut bait. We caught 8 that day. Nothing big though.

Snohomish County Martha Lake #3

If there is anyone who knows what I am talking about here, I would appreciate any information on types of fish present. I bushwhacked into it this weekend. It looks very fishy, but shore access is tough and I was skunked. Thanks.
