Finally got to take out the new Nu Canoe.
Technically it's an old, used Nu Canoe, but new to me. I love oxymorons. Took it out on Liberty. There was enough of a channel from of the private beaches, that I was able to get around pretty well. It was a gorgeous day, slight breeze, low 40's, I even got some sun (it's all relative; I'm so pale, ...

Not really raining on my parade, more like blizzarding.
The wind concerns me, but I can deal with the snow.
When we going fishing Marc?

SWEEEEET! I'll be the one on his new Nucanoe (see pictured above). I don't own a Rapala, but a med sink line and some bugger and minnow patterns.... I might go to my friend's house that lives right on the lake and launch from there this Monday just to try out the boat. Tuesday and Wednesday are supp...

If you'd raher I know some sled dog people over there. They'll have their dogs pull you down the snow covered road, or around the grassy golf course on the flat. :-" :) http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/boogie.gif I could use my fly rod and line for a mushing whip. They aren't go...

That would be the saddest thing to have it freeze and shatter while sledding before I catch a single fish with it. As fun as it sounds, I'm not going to risk it.

This is really starting to cheese me off!
Remember how excited you would get as a kid while waiting for your birthday? It seemed like it would take forever. But, your birthday never "moved". You were guaranteed that each new day would bring you closer to your birthday until you were ultimately eating cake and ice cream and opening presents....

RE:hauling a pontoon boat
I wish I had a picture for you of my 8' pontoon strapped to the roof of my '98 Corolla with no roof rack. I would strap it on with the car doors open, going through the cab and dodge the ratcheting hardware as I drove. Don't all pontoons disassemble, or was my Buck's Bags unusual? I could fit the wh...

Anyone know of open water (free of ice) in Spokane Co?
I just got a new boat and I want to go for a paddle to try it out. However, I'm afraid that those places I normally go are frozen over. Anyone know of anywhere that wouldn't require skates?

I took only one, and chose not to buy the other one.
I bought it from Whistlin' Jack by Nachese.
He has a red 12' left. I think he wanted $650 for it.
Call Doug Williams; he can tell your for sure 5O9-6S8-2437.

Just got a Fishin Buddy II
I'm really anxious to see how well it works. Just reading the owners manual is getting me happy. Not a bad rig, and I got it for one fourth the regular cost.

What is funny to me is that this is a dental filling material without the white filler to make it tooth shade. 2 things: 1- $50 for the light and the tube, you can imagine how much it costs your dentist to get the specially colored product, and 2- this probably let some dentist hang up his drill for...

Take them down to the flea market, put a price of $100 on them and some California yuppie transplant will buy them, and call them "wall art".

Homemade rotary vise with pics
I think I'll be able to sleep now. This is what has kept my brain busy for the last 2 months. I knew I wanted a rotary vise like the Nor Vise, but I won't be buying one of those until some more important things are bought and paid for first. I made this with $8 in brass stock, parts from an old copy...

It's like 2 Christmases
I put in a request for "dead stuff" to tie flies. Someone sent me an e-mail back saying he was going to butcher a hen and offered the feathers. He then wrote back saying his friend's father died and had a few things he would throw in the box with the feathers. "A few things" was a collection that to...

RE:Kayak fishing
It's the end of the season- I've seen a bunch of places that rent kayaks selling their rental yaks at about half price. Check some of those.....that is if you haven't already bought one. Someone here in Spokane won a 12' trident angler and is selling it for $750, still in the wrapper. I'm kind of pa...
