Re: One peice rod on bike
I fish with my bike alot and all I use two short bungee cords. With the reel just behind and under the handle bars, strap the pole to the main frame. Check the clearance and adjust the rod angle to avoid the rear tire. The best thing about is you can ride the bike normally and get the rod out quickl...

RE:Green/Duwamish Transition Question
The Green becomes the Duwamish where springbrook creek comes in at the end of the soccer fields at starfire. You can see whats left of springbrook creek from the walking bridge. This is where the former black river which came out of lake washington met the Green and formed the Duwamish.

RE:Hood Canal
There are two types of toxins here. "Vibrio", happens every summer and all shellfish must be cooked thoroughly if they are harvested at that time. "Red tide" or other marine biotoxins cannot be killed by cooking which leads to a total shellfish closure of everything but crab.

RE:turtles
There are three species of freshwater turtles around here: Painted turtles, Red-eared sliders, and Western Pond turtles. Snapping turtles have also been found in the past. Western Pond turtles are native to this area and are a species of concern. I don't know if the others would be open to harvest, ...

Yeah thats right.
I can only crab on Mondays for leftovers with my work schedule. I wish they would just leave it open until the quota was filled, instead of making us all crab on the same days of the week.

I have taken my nephews there a couple of times. Its good right after they plant it. I am not sure where you got the 1800 number though I think its more like 180 trout if that. Later in the year its good for tiny pumpkinseeds and tadpoles...

As G-Man said Sampco are the best. I have never broke one. I got a ton of them once from a discount shop about 15 years ago and I am just starting to run out.

RE:Spin-glo setup for plunking off the bank????
I would use the first rig Matt pictured. If the water is deeper use a longer leader and attach your bait of choice.
Plunking is not for the impatient. Many include a six pack to there arsenal.

RE:Which of these float tubes can keep my butt above the water?
Anglingarcher, I know exactly what you are talking about. I used to use the older style round that had you anchored deeper in the water. I never even used fins back then and I could keep up with everybody else that did. The newer wider models keep you up higher but you have no leverage and they are ...

Here is the way I understand it based of what is posted on the Discovery Pass website. This is what it says under "Exemptions" on the website: Hunting and fishing on WDFW-managed lands. When you buy certain types of hunting and fishing licenses, you will receive a vehicle access pass for WDFW-manage...
