Grant County’s Babcock Ridge Lake is located about 4 miles west from the town of Quincy. It covers about 20 surface acres, reaches depths of about 11 feet and lies at an elevation of 1258 feet. Fish species include largemouth bass, crappie and yellow perch. Walleye, rainbow and smallmouth bass are also reported to be in the lake. I fished it one time from a canoe and caught largemouth bass up to about 15 inches.
