Lake Limerick covers 105 surface acres and is located about 5 miles north of Shelton. The lake provides good to very good fishing for rainbow trout in the spring and good fishing for largemouth bass and yellow perch during the summer and fall. This lake has some huge bass -- I know of one fish that weighed nearly 10 pounds. Public access is provided by the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife. The large access area provides plenty of Parking space, a pit toilet and a concrete boat launching ramp. Signs at the access area read. "For Fishermen Only" and "Boat Speed 8 MPH."
