Frater Lake (11 acres): Part of the Little Pend Oreille chain of lakes, Frater offers 9-inch yearling cutthroat trout, with carry-overs to 13 inches. Northernmost in the chain (just southwest of Ione), it's the only one without a surface water connection to the others. Small boats can be launched from shore.
