LOOMIS LAKE IS APPROX. 200 ACRES, HAS A PRIMITIVE STATE LAUNCH AND LIMITED PARKING AND A FISHING PIER. THE MAJORITY OF THIS BODY IS ONLY ABOUT 4 FT DEEP. THERE IS A DEEP HOLE NEAR THE NORTH END THATS ABOUT 14 FT DEEP, THE SHALLOW PORTION OF THE LAKE IS VERY WEEDY. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A WEEDLESS PROP HERE. THE LAKE SUPPORTS A VERY GOOD POPULATION OF LARGEMOUTH BASS, SOME PERCH, AND ANNUAL PLANTS OF RAINBOWS. FISHING PRESSURE IS VERY LIGHT AFTER THE OPENER IN APRIL. Kevin Bradley
