Skamania County’s Drano Lake is located about 7 miles west of the town of White Salmon. It covers about 220 surface acres and is an enlargement of the mouth of the Little White Salmon River. It lies at 72 feet of elevation and was created by the backwaters of the Bonneville Dam. It is connected to the Bonneville Pool and hosts most of the same fish. Probably the most popular fish species are the salmon and summer steelhead. There is a public access area with a nice concrete launching ramp. The access area becomes very crowded at times during the spring.
