Grays Harbor County’s Vance Creek Ponds are located about a mile south from the town of Elma and south of Highway #12. Both ponds are open to fishing from the last Saturday of April through November 30th. Pond #1 is open to fishing for juveniles under 15 years old, seniors over 70 years old and persons with disability licenses. Pond #2 is open to all qualified anglers. Fish species for both ponds include rainbow trout and largemouth bass. Public access is through Vance Creek County Park. The park provides modern restrooms, picnic areas and a swimming area. There is also a concrete plank boat launching ramp at Pond #2 and bank fishing opportunities at Pond #1. No internal combustion engines are allowed on the ponds.
