The lakes can be reached by a difficult/extreme rated hike up trail #822. The hike to the lakes is 7.4 miles round-trip and can take up to 5 hours or more due to the rugged terrain, primitive trail and steep inclines. This adventure is best done on an overnight stay to really take in the surrounding and fishing experience. You will want to plan this hike in the summer or fall months. The westernmost lake is the biggest and most productive but it also requires the farthest hike. Both Cutthroat and Brook trout can be found in these lakes.
